Member Preview of Making American Artists

PAFA Members are warmly invited to be among the first to view our special exhibition Making American Artists: Stories from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 1776–1976. Highlighting over one hundred of the most acclaimed and iconic pieces in American art on display, the exhibition takes you on a journey across time, medium, and identity. With new narratives in American art history that embrace stories about women artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, and artists of color, Making American Artists is an opportunity to enjoy familiar works in a new light and find new favorites.

Register to come by at any time during our member preview for a coffee and light fare, and enjoy walking through Making American Artists before it opens to the public.
