Educator’s Workshop: The City and the River

Cost: $15 // Free for Teachers with a PAFA Membership

Participants receive 3 hours of Act 48 Credit/New Jersey PD Credit.

Part I: PAFA, Historic Landmark Building. Part II: Fairmount Water Works (640 Waterworks Dr.)

This day-long teacher workshop for Philadelphia teachers is a partnership between PAFA and the Fairmount Water Works. Teachers meet at PAFA in the morning for a tour of From the Schuylkill to the Hudson: Landscapes of the Early American Republic and to explore PAFA’s related resources and activities that emphasize visual analysis and critical thinking skills. After lunch, educators will be transported to the Fairmount Water Works for a guided tour conversations about water systems’ management and an exploration of related watershed curriculum.

Lunch and transportation between sites is provided.
