Works by the Peale Family: Creating American Traditions

Saturday, March 11, 10:30 AM
$25 General Admission / $20 PAFA Member

Making American Artists: Stories from PAFA, 1776 - 1976 contains works by one of the founders of PAFA, Charles Willson Peale (1741-1827), as well as works by several members of his talented and influential family. Join Carol Eaton Soltis, a Project Associate Curator in the Department of American Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as she guides us through a close look at these works, which range from the monumental and public to the modestly scaled and intimate. She will share stories about the lives of the talented Peale family - how the artists and their works are related.

Registration includes the entrance fee to PAFA's Museum.
