One spark of inspiration is cast across five generations into the rushing creative culture of city. Sam Fleisher opened a school with the hope that beauty might flourish amidst Philadelphia’s turn-of-the-century industrial waste and congestion. We meet three artists who are making Sam’s dream their own. Through them, we learn ways of art as living and, sometimes, ways of surviving. 

This film contains adult themes that may not be appropriate for all viewers, including nudity, drug addiction and death by overdose.
