From design competition to opening day, the story of PAFA’s iconic building is a story of industrial innovation, artistic excellence, and civic engagement, all inscribed in the stone and paint of America’s first museum building. Join Dennis Robinson, PAFA's Visitor Experience Supervisor, for a behind-the-scenes look at how the building that launched American onto the world art stage come together and remains active as a maker-space almost 150 years later.
