PAFA Pours: The View From Here

Thursday, April 29th, 5:30 to 6:30 PM

Zoom address will be emailed upon registration

Free

Join Christine Lafuente, PAFA Alum and Instructor, and Katerina Lydon-Warner from Taller Puertorriqueño to discuss how Lafuente’s experience sheltering-in-place in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico led to a reconnection to her Latina heritage and to a series of paintings inspired by the space, light, and colors of Puerto Rico. The speakers will explore questions of identity, diaspora, and the second-generation immigrant experience.

Lafuente’s exhibition The View from Here runs through April 30th at Gross McCleaf Gallery. This June the artist is teaching a Master Class on Color Harmony in Tonal Painting. Save your spot today!
