Special Tour: Taking Space
Friday, August 27th, 2021, 1 PM to 2 PM
$25 General Admission/ $10 PAFA Members
Meet in the lobby of the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building

Join Monica Zimmerman, PAFA’s VP of Public Education, for a special tour of PAFA’s major exhibition, Taking Space: Contemporary Women Artists and the Politics of Scale. Featuring artists like Faith Ringgold, Mickalene Thomas, to the Guerilla Girls, this show explores the many approaches of women artists for whom space is a critical feature of their work.

Whether they take the space on a wall, the real estate of a room through sculpture and installation, engage seriality as a spatial visual practice, cast a wide legacy in art history or claim the space of their body, all these artists are breaking ground as women in the art world. Join us for  a guided look at Taking Space before it closes this fall.
