Saturday, November 23rd, 2:00 - 3:30 pm
$15 / Free for PAFA Members

Join Urie Ridgeway (Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape), Paula Mirabal (Taos Pueblo), and Tailinh Agoyo (Narragansett) for a panel discussion focused on the importance of land and water to Indigenous people past and present. The panelists will also discuss environmental issues Indigenous communities are facing today. Urie and Paula will focus on their homelands and their community’s successes and challenges, while Tailinh will share about her photo series, The Warrior Project, which tells the story of Indigenous children’s concern for the future of their homelands and waterways. Following the discussion, We Are the Seeds Dance Troupe will perform and renowned artist Tchin will speak to the significance of wampum jewelry, which will also be available for purchase.
