The Historic Landmark Building (HLB) at PAFA is temporarily offline for a planned HVAC system renovation project until Fall of 2025. However, in the meantime, please enjoy our exhibitions next door, in the Samuel Hamilton Building.
In the Hamilton Building, see our current exhibitions: Making Strange: Sacred Imagery and the Self, Philadelphia Revealed: Unpacking the Attic, From the School Collection, and Open Call. Making Strange: Sacred Imagery and the Self as an exhibition is an exercise in close viewing, recognizing intentional distortion and reinterpretation of traditional sacred imagery as a means of fostering introspection and meaningful dialogue based on one’s own lived experience. Philadelphia Revealed is an interactive exhibition at Drexel University showcasing over 600 artifacts from the Atwater Kent Collection, telling the story of Philadelphia's 350-year history through diverse objects, images, and multimedia elements. From the School Collection showcases selected casts from PAFA’s esteemed Cast Hall Collection, temporarily relocated from the Historic Landmark Building during its renovation closure. Open Call is an exhibition of current student artwork.
Before your visit, download PAFA's Digital Guide.
